The children you see featured on this page are in need of sponsors for their education. For a very small amount of money, a child can be given an education and receive food. The simple act of kindness in sponsoring a child will help alleviate the causes of poverty and injustice, and provide hope and a future. We are currently working with over 500 children in need of sponsors. We will be featuring different children on this page on at least a monthly basis. If you would like to help by sponsoring one of the children please contact us on the Contact Us page of this website. We will be more than happy to give you detailed information that will help you to help a child.
The children currently featured on this page are from two remote villages in Karamoja. An area in North Eastern Uganda, close to the Sudan and Kenya. They have suffered drought for 5 years, and raiders have come in and stolen their cattle. The lack of water and resources has left this area extremely vulnerable, and the children suffer from micronutrient malnutrition. To sponsor one of these children is only $70.00 per term. To get them into school and pay the first term, which provides uniform, shoes, bedding, books, pens and pencils, and transport to the school where they will attend and board is only $210.00

This is Mary Loware, an orphan from Karamoja. She is 12 years old and in P-5. Like many of the children in Karamoja, the elders of the village try to help them but are so poor themselves they could not continue to pay for school.
