Mercy Uganda

 We are a  501(c)3, Christian,nonprofit ministry, and International NGO

Mercy Uganda born as a result of several trips to Eastern Uganda, seeing the needs of the women and children there, and the lack of resources available to them.  We felt God calling us to action, and our prayer is to walk along side them to provide resources that will help improve their current living conditions, and offer hope and a future.  Areas of focus are: improving conditions for safe drinking water and nutrition, providing opportunities for the most vulnerable of children to receive an education, identify and assist with medical needs, build an orphanage and small primary school, assist women in training opportunities to provide opportunities for them to generate an income to provide for themselves and their families, and most importantly, to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, and disciple and mentor these women and children as they grow in their relationship with the Lord.  Through Mercy Uganda we are building relationship and ministering to women and children specifically, through our work with them, recognizing that this will also positively impact the lives of whole villages.

What We Do

Mercy Uganda works closely with individuals, schools, churches, businesses, and other organizations in Uganda and the U.S. to provide much needed resources to women and children in Uganda.

Below are some of the projects we have done and continue to do:

1.  We have helped a pregnancy care center obtain an ultrasound machine through a partnership with International Aid

2.We have provided wells to 3 vulnerable and remote areas of Uganda through partnerships with generous donors, and continue to work toward more.

3. We continue to provide livestock and agriculture resources to vulnerable villages through a partnership with farmers and families in the U.S.

4. We identify children for sponsorships, and partner with individuals to provide an education for them

5. We have partnered with a medical team  in the U.S., the Ezekiel 37 team,  to provide free clinics to remote villages. This is an ongoing partnership with clinics and medical assistance continuing to those most vulnerable of people in Uganda.

6.  We partner with individuals in the U.S. to provide sewing machines to women in remote villages, helping them to learn a skill that will create opportunities for them to provide for themselves and their families. We call this our Dorcas Program.

SHORT TERM MISSION TRIPS

Mercy Uganda travels to Uganda several times a year and has several aspects to our trips from medical to educational, from work with orphans, to areas affecting whole villages.
